Medina Med ® -  The largest tyre supplier in Bulgaria certified to the standards and requirements of MICHELIN - Sofia, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Varna, Ruse, Dobrich, Haskovo, Veliko Tarnovo and Blagoevgrad.

The certificate  from the Michelin Quality Centre is awarded annually for the  tyre service , a member of the Partner programme of  MICHELIN , and is an independent audit guaranteeing that  MICHELIN recognises it  for the quality of its strict compliance, both technically and in terms of the product.

The certificate  of the Michelin Quality Center  is a standard of professional business conduct created and approved by Michelin in Europe. This standard guarantees that at a  “Michelin Certified Center”  you work in line with the technical requirements for tyre sales and fitting, that the structure, equipment and tools will advise you on all the necessary conditions, for which you will be responsible for personal attitude, safety and comfort, and that staff will be available to customers for questions and suggestions. At MICHELIN the transparency of the work carried out on the customer’s vehicle is guaranteed through the use of the Work Sheet.

Medina Med ®  receives a certificate for the  MICHELIN  trace assessment process, covering the audit of the retail site and the implementation of the action plan. Each audit includes an assessment of the retail site in various aspects – assessment of service performance, staff training, attitude to customers, etc. The action plan is implemented with the help of the Standard Procedures Manual proposed by  MICHELIN  , and covers the costs of development, approval at the retail site (premises, equipment, etc.), alarms, training, equipment and staff motivation. Following the action plan,  Medina Med ®  recognised the need for an audit leaving no doubt about the quality and organisation of its work, leading to the diploma “Michelin Certified Center” .

End-of-life tyres

Separate collection: dispose of used tyres and collect everything from the collection point at the places where they are generated, including tyre removal and sales sites. For this purpose, metal containers are placed at the point for collecting ELTs, separately from other waste streams. Given that ELTs are collected from the whole territory of the country, collection from citizens and/or the rental of regional sites for temporary storage, pre-treatment and preliminary storage before recovery (sorting, cleaning, cutting, baling, etc.) is planned.

Transport: ELTs are transported by conventional and/or specialised vehicles, in compliance with the regulatory requirements for the transport of waste. Based on optimisation of the transport scheme, the site on which the recycling plant is located has been chosen to be as equidistant as possible from the collection points, in order to reduce the impact on the environment. In future we plan to invest in vehicles and in pre-treatment equipment, reducing the size of the tyres, compacting loads in the vehicles and reducing the cost of transporting ELTs to the plant site.

Storage and preparation for recycling: This includes storing ELTs on the plant site until they are recycled at the recycling station. Preparation for recycling includes sorting, removal of foreign objects and pre-treatment (in the case of unsuitable tyre sizes). Take the following precautions into account when storing and warehousing tyres: Minimising the spread of fire (for example by setting a minimum distance between two cells); Minimising the production of leachate; Minimising the contamination of soil and groundwater with leachate; Preventing and controlling the spread of mosquitoes and other disease carriers, in order to prevent a negative impact on public health.

Applicants take part in the competition for all the main categories, sectors and subcategories, with everything done online from 16 December through the Forbes Bulgaria website.

• The company will answer general and somewhat specific questions relevant to the category concerned.
• This was assessed by a jury including successful entrepreneurs with a good reputation from various spheres of the economy.
• The jury receives the permitted information and checks the correctness of the ranking. The Forbes team sums up the points collected from all members of the jury and ranks the exceptionally rated entries in each category.
• The award was received by the company and was given to the first-placed entry in each category. In addition, the finalists will be included in the top 3.

 

All companies registered in Bulgaria can be nominated for the Forbes awards, regardless of size, technology, sector and ownership. Representative offices of foreign companies, as well as foundations and other organisations not registered under the Commerce Act, cannot be applicants. The companies applying for the award will answer four general and some specific questions depending on the category, but will bring all the questions to a certain point. Assessment by an independent jury is based on the respect of business leaders from various sectors of the economy. All members of the jury assessed the application independently and issued scores to the Forbes editorial team, which summarised the information received from the jury and, on the basis of the ranking, announced the applicant in each category as a finalist. If there is a conflict of interest for any member of the jury, they will not give scores for the applicant concerned, but the position of that juror will not be scored with the average score of the other jury member for the same application.
